 Post News

1. Steak night is Friday night, Jul 25th, best deal in town. $10.00 for a nice sized T-bone, salad and baked potato for that price? Yes, because we care about our members. If you can find a better deal please let me know! I will go check it out!

2. General Comments: As of now our Post is still one of the larger Posts (member wise) in the state. We have a lotta officers and ladies auxillary members committed to making our Post better and being the best we can be. We work for the members and I hope the members appreciate our efforts for them and our Post. Sometimes based on comments I hear personally, I am not sure the members really care. All I hear occasionally is what's for free on Friday night, where are the bar snacks, what are we having for happy hour Friday night, etc? Why don't we have free food every night? Where are the dancing girls (oh, sorry Jerry). But you know,  after a little cost analysis I have decided it costs each member $28.00 per year to be a member of our Post. (Lifetime got a deal!) So I figure with $1.00 TACOs, $3.00 TACO salads, $10.00 T-bone steak dinners, and the other two Friday nights of whatever, pizza, subs, etc. for free, by the end of April , I am relatively confident that most folks already have their dues back! So throw in a few impromptu fish fries, and some other free special events that occur occsionally and somehow I have a hard time wondering where some of this is coming from! Maybe I live in a different world!

Hope you all have a nice weekend. It is a great pleasure (most of the time) to be Commander of our great Post and I certainly appreciate the fine support of the other officers to help make our Post what it is today! They like me are dedicated to supporting Post 6605 first and foremost and that's what we are all about! If any member has a question about anything regarding our Post please do not hesitate to ask me, that's part of my  job as far as I'm concerned. If any member wants to discuss financial matters, I refer them to the Post bulletin board, which always has the most recent financial status posted as part of the monthly meetings process.

As always, thanks for participating in our Post and thanks for your membership in our Post. That in itself tells me you are a Veteran and Veterans care! BD
